The Eagles finished the 2024-25 season ranked 20th nationally and 1st overall in the state of Texas according to MaxPreps. Allen finished up their season in Washington D.C. competing in “The Throne” championship losing to Long Island Lutheran 71-68. They are lead by returning point guard, Nehemiah Lawrence, a 5’6 senior who is committed to HBCU D1 Hampton University in Virginia. He brings a lot of experience, leadership, and a whole lot of quickness. He will look to score the ball and also distribute to other key contributors such as 4-star transfer Cadarian Urune-Williams.
Urune-Williams comes to the tournament with a fresh start at Allen after averaging 14.8 PPG and 4.8 RPG for Rowlett HS also in Texas. He will be the highest ranked recruit in the Sellitto Invitational for 2025. The Eagles will also lean on a pair of juniors, Dylan Matlock-Reed and Giovanni Watt. They will provide size and athleticism that will produce scoring and rebounding.
Allen also has a familiar name on their roster in junior forward Tyson Chandler II. He is the son of NBA champion Tyson Chandler who won in 2011 with the Dallas Mavericks. In his 19 year NBA career, he was a 1x All Star, 1x All NBA 3rd Team, Defensive POY, and multiple All NBA Defensive Teams. He was the #2 overall draft pick in 2001 out of high school to the Chicago Bulls. Tyson Chandler II will look to continue his father’s legacy in a key role for the Eagles.
